CICS has an established Product Conformity Mark – CICS Shield Mark, initially established for heavy clay products in the late 1980’s.

 

There are now schemes covering:

• Bricks,Blocks, Roofing tiles
• Chimney Linings
• Wall & Floor tiles
• Tableware
• Metal release

As an accredited certification organisation and Notified Body under the European Construction Products directive (1855) we are able to undertake assessments and certification for construction products, verifying product conformity with relevant harmonised standards, and issue Certificates of Factory Production Control.

 

The Benefits

With the growing need for “responsible sourcing” and “chain of custody” Product conformity and CE Marking schemes have a growing part to play in providing evidence that standards have been achieved. CICS offers independent verification that these standards are being met, through a process of sample selection, independent testing and verification of factory production control.

 

Proof of a responsible approach is fast becoming an important factor in purchasing requirements. Independent Product Conformity Verification and Certification is becoming an accepted method of demonstrating achievement against a growing number of standards.
